The day started with a drizzle, gradually turning wetter as the competition progressed. Many players humorously fought for a prize for keeping their scorecards the driest amidst the persistent rain.

Piltdown Golf Club once again provided a fabulous venue for the championship. Known for its pristine conditions and challenging layout, the course tested the skills of all participants. The lush fairways, well-maintained greens, and picturesque scenery made for an enjoyable yet demanding round of golf.

A humorous incident added some additional interest to the day when one player's dog jumped into the back of his car unnoticed. It wasn't until he arrived at the golf club and opened the back door that he discovered his unexpected canine companion, much to the amusement of fellow participants.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff at Piltdown Golf Club and Sussex County Golf for their efforts with the event.
