County Cards

In January 2024, the County Card Scheme moved into a new DIGITAL era.

WHAT IS THE COUNTY CARD SCHEME?

The Sussex County Card Scheme provides discounts on Green Fees for numerous clubs nationally and has been in operation for many years. Formerly, this was a subscription-based membership model where members would apply directly to the County and pay annually to renew their membership.

This scheme extends beyond Sussex, covering all surrounding counties as well!

This model has now been modernized and made fully inclusive for all members, irrespective of gender or age, with the introduction of the new County Card App.

IF YOU ARE A CURRENT COUNTY CARD MEMBER

You may observe that your traditional standing order for January has not left your account and will be marked as failed or the payment will have been quickly returned. This is because we have closed this account.

The County Card membership will now be included in your affiliation fee within your membership with your club. There is now no additional cost for your card.

What it means for you:

Payment – No action required.

Digital Card – Download the IG COUNTY app using the instructions below:

Timing – Your digital card will be ready for download NOW.

IF YOU ARE NOT A CURRENT COUNTY CARD MEMBER

HOW DO I DOWNLOAD MY CARD?

We now offer a digital card via an App on your mobile phone. This is free of charge and available for any affiliated member of a Sussex participating Club registered with WHS.

1: Search for and download ‘igCounty’ within the Apple Store or Google Play Store.

2. Open the App and select Sussex County Golf or Sussex Ladies Golf Association and press ‘Save’ from the list of Counties.

3. Click the County Card icon in the bottom right of the screen and then click ‘continue.’

4. Enter your WHS number, surname, and email address where indicated. The app uses this data to verify your club membership on the WHS Handicapping platform, but does not keep the data without your approval.

5. Enable notifications to receive email notifications about County events and news from your home County.

6. Click ‘Activate County Card.’

Your County Card will now be installed in the App.

HOW DO I USE MY CARD?

Once you have selected which club to visit, please verify with the club that they are part of the scheme and check for any associated restrictions. Clubs can alter their offers, so please double-check when booking.

Note: If you do not know your CDH number your golf club will be able to help you

The expiry date is updated each year, to renew your card you simply need to fully close the App on your phone and reopen it, The expiry date will automatically renew.
