SUSSEX JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT GRANT
WHY THE GRANT IS IMPORTANT TO SUSSEX COUNTY GOLF
Sussex County Golf's ambition is to grow the participation of young people in the county and create accessible pathways for all levels of golfers. Sussex County Golf has introduced a Junior Development Fund for Sussex clubs, offering grants up to the value of £1,000. The sucessful awards will be made in two payments: the first upon approval and the second upon completion of the program. Applications will be assessed on individual merit, but will need to show both short term and longer term plans for juniors at the golf club.
THE PURPOSE OF THE GRANT
This grant aims to help clubs raise their profile and increase participation among young people in golf. Sussex County Golf would like to work with clubs on their proposals to provide positive and successful initiatives for junior golfers.
EXAMPLES OF WHAT THE GRANT COULD BE USED FOR
- Grassroots participation programs (funding for a professional to run the sessions)
- Equipment to run the sessions or for young people to hire at your club Junior opens
- "Give Golf a Go" day
- Junior Festival of Golf
HOW TO APPLY
- We will be accepting expressions of interest on the form below. Please complete the form with appropriate details of who the main contact is. This will need to be supported by more than one person at the club.
- Once the application is submitted, Eve Clarke, Junior Development Officer, will then arrange a meeting with the club to discuss and support the application.
- A panel will asssess the applications and contact clubs with further updates.
