Volunteer Finance Director - Sussex County Golf

Are you passionate about golf and skilled in financial matters? Sussex County Golf is seeking a qualified individual to lead our financial operations as our new Finance Director, succeeding the current post-holder when their term concludes in April 2025. This is a voluntary position, offering the opportunity to join a dynamic Board and a dedicated team of volunteers who work to support and advance county golf across Sussex.

About Sussex County Golf:

Sussex County Golf is the governing body for amateur golf in the region, representing 60 affiliated golf clubs and over 25,000 members across the county. We are committed to growing the game, encouraging participation at all levels, and organizing teams and championships for golfers of all abilities and age groups.

About the Role:

The Finance Director will:

Lead financial matters, including budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning.

Collaborate with the Board to ensure sound financial decisions are made.

Support initiatives that contribute to the development of golf across Sussex.

Join the Finance Committee initially and work alongside the current Finance Director, with a view to taking over the position after the AGM in April 2025.

Who We're Looking For:

We are seeking a qualified accountant or someone with strong financial expertise. The role is ideal for someone who wants to contribute their skills to the growth of amateur golf in Sussex.
